In The Kitchen

Step inside my kitchen for experiments, recipes and treats.

I have never been very good at sticking to difficult recipes with lots of ingredients and technical steps.  For the most part, the recipe books lining my shelves are used more for inspiration than a guide to creating the dishes.

I love creating new things, experimenting with different tastes and putting a combination of ingredients together that I love. Most of my friends and family are horrified by my cooking when it’s just for me, but delighted when I cook for them. Food has the main purpose of filling my tummy, so I’d rather not spend 3 hours trying to make that happen.

Experiments that regularly appear out of my kitchen range from traditional beef wellington, roast dinners with all of the trimmings and the ultimate vegetarian burgers all the way to a combination of gnocchi, fish fingers and gravy.

His chicken sandwiches were amazing, and to this day I still can't make a chicken sandwich as nice as his.

Maximising your Training Photos: Pexels As many of you will be aware: I love animals; actually it’s more than that… I don’t think there is a word strong enough. Obsessed maybe? I always get distracted by the little bundles of joy, so if you ever see me, don’t expect me to continue listening if there is a dog, cat or bird…
